Meridiana Elementary Earns “A” Rating as Community’s Schools Receive Strong Marks
Meridiana Elementary, one of our three onsite schools, has earned an “A” rating from the Texas Education Agency (TEA), giving families another reason to feel good about putting down roots in the community.
The top rating is particularly noteworthy for Meridiana, where many families arrive with elementary-aged children and the convenience of quality schools close to home is an important part of everyday life.
Meridiana Elementary is one of several schools serving the community to receive strong marks in the 2025- 2026 TEA ratings. Barbara Bennett Elementary, Caffey Junior High School and Iowa Colony High School each earned a “B” rating.
For Meridiana residents, highly rated schools are also close to home. Meridiana Elementary, Barbara Bennett Elementary and Caffey Junior High School are located within the community, while Iowa Colony High School is adjacent to Meridiana.
The latest ratings also reflect continued improvement across Alvin ISD. The district maintained its overall “B” rating while increasing its score from 84 to 86. That continues an upward trend from a score of 81 in 2023-24 to 84 in 2024-25 and 86 for 2025-26.
Together, the latest TEA ratings reinforce one of the many reasons families choose Meridiana – the opportunity to give their children access to quality schools just minutes from home.
