Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday by Planting a Tree in Buddy Williams Park
This Independence Day, Meridiana residents have a unique opportunity to celebrate America’s 250th birthday while helping shape Manvel’s newest community park located in Meridiana.
On Saturday, July 4, Meridiana residents are invited to roll up their sleeves and help plant approximately 250 trees donated by Meridiana during the Buddy Williams Park Dedication and Tree Planting Ceremony. Festivities start at 8 a.m.
Trees will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, and all planting tools will be provided. Whether you plant a tree in honor of a loved one, to commemorate a special occasion, or simply to leave a lasting mark on the community, this is a meaningful way to celebrate our nation’s birthday and contribute to a park that will serve generations to come.
Located at the end of Inspiration Way behind Barbara Bennett Elementary School, the 22-acre park is named in honor of former Manvel City Council member Buddy Williams and was made possible through Meridiana’s donation of the land to the City of Manvel.
Join your neighbors on July 4 and help us create a living legacy, one tree at a time.
